Is it Really That Important
to Take Guitar Lessons?

It is if you want to learn fast. It could take you years to figure out what experienced guitar players have already learned.

You don't have time for that - it's time to Rock On Now!

Just buying an instructional guitar book off the shelf won't do you that much good.

Sure, you can learn a few chords and maybe a few licks, but you need a more controlled environment. You need someone to actually play the guitar for you so you can hear how things should sound.

That's why I like the new 'learn to play the guitar' CDs and software. You can learn right from your computer at your own convenience and pace, and you can actually see the instructor put it into action for you so you know what it is supposed to sound like and to make sure you are doing it properly.

Another great thing about them is that once you have learned new chords or lead you can play along with music to sharpen your skills and jam out.

I'm convinced that Jamorama is the best one available. They offer a beginning guitar instruction course that requires no previous skill. You start from scratch and move into more technical skills as you progress. This is all downloaded right on to your computer.

For those who prefer to have the CDs in hand they offer a 'hard copy' set that includes all of the guitar lesson videos and books. If that's your preference, you can take a look at that here: Jamorama Hardcopy Guitar Course
